The purpose of JAMES H. CASSELL SCHOLARSHIP FUND is to provide support to pursue advanced educational opportunities, upon graduation from High School or GED equivalent, to a school of higher education, for any Council 140 member in good standing, his spouse, his children or grand children, and, the children or grand children of a deceased member who was in good standing at the time of his death. The applicant must have been accepted, or presently enrolled into a program offering one or more years of higher education culminating in a Certificate, Diploma, Associate or bachelor’s degree. (Technical Vocational School, College or University program). A 2.5 GPA, or equivalent is required for all applicants. The amount of each scholarship is determined by the Scholarship Committee and approved by Council 140.
