Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilites

   One of our most popular and successful fundraisers conducted  by council 140 for the benefit of people with intellectual disabilities involves collecting donations outside local stores and after Parish Masses. Some of the local stores in past are NH State Liquor Stores, Market Basket, McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop, Hannaford  inside store kiosk. In appreciation, the donor is offered a Tootsie Roll.  This fundraiser is conducted in the Spring or late Summer time frame.  Our council charity to receive the majority of the proceeds is our local Portsmouth School Student Special Needs program. A smaller portion of the proceeds goes to a State council   people with intellectual disability charity.

  For the first time in 2023 the council parked cars for "The Thunder over New Hampshire Air show" at the Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, NH. This allowed an almost triple the amount collected for the program.
